Security Forces Eliminate 34 Terrorists Gunned Down in Recent K-P, Balochistan IBOs: ISPR
RAWALPINDI – Security forces have killed 34 terrorists in a series of highly successful intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, the military’s media wing reported on Wednesday.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were carried out over the past few days as part of a sustained counter-terrorism campaign targeting “Indian-backed elements,” particularly the outlawed groups Fitna Al Khwarij and Fitna Al Hindustan.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 26 terrorists belonging to Fitna Al Khwarij were neutralized in four separate engagements on February 24. The ISPR detailed that troops thwarted an infiltration bid along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the Hassan Khel area of North Waziristan, killing one terrorist who was identified as an Afghan national. In other operations in the province, three terrorists were killed in Lakki Marwat, 10 were eliminated in the Narmi Khel area of Bannu, and 12 were neutralized in the Mir Ali district of North Waziristan.

In a separate operation in Balochistan, security forces conducted an IBO in the Sambaza area of Zhob district. Following an intense exchange of fire, eight terrorists associated with Fitna Al Hindustan were successfully neutralized.
The ISPR stated that weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants, who had been actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the region. Sanitization operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining terrorist threats in the areas.
The ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces are steadfast in defending the nation’s frontiers and will persist with operations against foreign-backed terrorism at full intensity.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif separately praised the security forces for their successful operations and professional excellence.
