The extended service links Malir Halt, a densely populated residential area, with Tower, one of Karachi’s busiest commercial centers near Saddar. This connection is likely to ease commuting challenges for office workers, students, and daily passengers who rely heavily on public transport.
The double-decker buses, already popular among residents for their modern facilities and spacious seating, are seen as a symbol of the city’s transport revival efforts.
Provincial Transport Minister Sharjeel Memon directed authorities to finalize preparations for the expanded route to ensure smooth operations from day one.
He also reaffirmed the Sindh government’s commitment to completing the Yellow Line BRT project at the earliest, signaling continued investment in large-scale public transit initiatives.
The route expansion reflects ongoing efforts by the Sindh government to modernize Karachi’s transport infrastructure. By offering safe, efficient, and cost-effective commuting options, authorities aim to reduce traffic congestion and improve the overall travel experience for millions of residents.
With the addition of this extended double-decker service, Karachi continues to move toward a more connected and commuter-friendly future.
