BISP Announces April 2025 Benazir Kafalat Instalment with Increased Stipend
ISLAMABAD – The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has officially announced the disbursement of the April 2025 quarterly instalment for the Benazir Kafalat initiative. In a significant move to support low-income families, the government has confirmed that cash payments for this quarter have been increased to Rs. 13,500 per family.
Key Updates for April 2025 Payments
- Increased Amount: The quarterly stipend has been raised from Rs. 10,500 to Rs. 13,500, reflecting a 29% increase to provide relief from rising living costs.
- Disbursement Schedule: Payments for the April–June cycle began rolling out nationwide in mid-April 2025.
- Phased Rollout: The first phase of support covers various districts in Islamabad, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), with other regions following in subsequent stages.
- Expanded Reach: BISP is working to expand the number of Kafalat beneficiaries to approximately 10 million families this year.

Verification and Collection
Beneficiaries can verify their eligibility and payment status through the BISP 8171 Web Portal. Official notifications are sent only via the 8171 SMS service.
Chairperson BISP, Senator Rubina Khalid, emphasised that the program is transitioning toward more transparent payment methods, including a pilot project for direct bank account transfers for 9 million women to ensure a more dignified disbursement process.
