Sindh Government Announces Public Holiday for March 13 (Friday)
KARACHI — The Sindh government has officially declared a public holiday across the province for tomorrow, Friday, March 13, 2026.
As per a notification from the Services, General Administration and Coordination Department on Thursday, all provincial offices, schools, and autonomous bodies across Sindh will be closed tomorrow for the public holiday.

Key Details of the Announcement
- Reason for Holiday: The holiday is observed on the occasion of Jumma-tul-Wida, the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan. It also coincides with Youm Al-Quds.
- Essential Services: The order clarified that essential services—including health, municipal, and emergency response departments—will continue to operate as usual to ensure public safety.
- Educational Institutions: Both public and private schools, colleges, and universities across Sindh will remain closed today.
- Security & Traffic: Local authorities have issued traffic advisories in Karachi for planned rallies related to Youm-e-Quds, and security has been heightened across the province.
This announcement follows a previous holiday observed on Wednesday, March 11, for Youm-e-Ali. Students and government employees are set to enjoy an extended break, as the provincial government has also scheduled spring holidays for schools starting from March 16.
