Sri Lanka Women Edge West Indies Women in Tense 2nd T20 to Take Series Lead
Grenada, March 2, 2026 — Sri Lanka Women claimed a hard-fought victory over West Indies Women in the second Twenty20 International of the ongoing three-match series at the National Cricket Stadium in St. George’s, Grenada. The visitors now lead the series 1-0 after the first game was washed out.
After winning the toss, Sri Lanka opted to bowl first and managed to stifle the West Indies batting lineup. The hosts were restricted to just 101 all-out in their allotted 20 overs, with West Indies captain Hayley Matthews top-scoring with 28 runs. Sri Lanka’s bowling attack was led by Malki Madara and Nilakshika Silva, both taking three wickets apiece to keep the Caribbean side under pressure.
