Deputy PM Ishaq Dar arrives in Jeddah for high-stakes OIC meeting on Israeli violations. He urges the international community to act against illegal Israeli measures in Palestine.

JEDDAH – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar arrived at the Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah on Friday to participate in an extraordinary ministerial session of the OIC Executive Committee .

Upon his arrival, the Deputy Prime Minister was received by Samir Bakr, the OIC Assistant Secretary General for Palestine and Al-Quds Affairs, along with Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the OIC . The high-level meeting has been convened to deliberate on recent illegal Israeli measures, including settlement expansions and attempts to impose alleged sovereignty over the Occupied West Bank .

Speaking at the Open-Ended Extraordinary Ministerial Session, Dar urged the international community to decisively act and halt Israeli violations in the occupied Palestinian territory. He emphasized that the developments carry profound implications not only for the Palestinian people but also for the credibility of international law and the integrity of the multilateral system .

The Deputy Prime Minister strongly condemned the latest Israeli measures to convert areas of the occupied West Bank into so-called state property. He highlighted Pakistan’s efforts as a member of the UN Security Council in advancing the Palestinian cause and called for a time-bound political process for the establishment of an independent, sovereign State of Palestine on the basis of 1967 borders .

During the three-day visit, Dar is scheduled to hold sideline meetings with his counterparts from other OIC member states and will also undertake brief visits to the holy cities .
