Punjab Govt Extends CM Laptop Scheme Deadline to Feb 28, 2026 – Private University Students Eligible with 65% Marks
The Punjab government has officially extended the deadline for students to apply under the Chief Minister Punjab Laptop Program, giving applicants more time to complete their registrations.
According to the latest update, students can now submit their applications until February 28, 2026, through the program’s official online portal.
Private University Students Now Eligible
In a major expansion of the scheme, the provincial government has included students from private universities. Under the updated eligibility criteria announced last month, students enrolled in private institutions with at least 65 percent marks can apply for a free laptop based on academic performance.
Previously, the scheme primarily focused on students from public sector institutions.
Aim to Boost Digital Access in Higher Education
The Punjab government said the initiative is designed to improve access to digital tools and enhance learning opportunities for higher education students across the province. By providing laptops to high-performing students, the program aims to support research, online learning, and skill development.
Officials have urged all eligible students to complete their registration before the extended deadline to avoid last-minute issues or technical delays.
Students can visit the official portal to check eligibility criteria and submit their applications before February 28, 2026.
